Our Wednesday Nights with Dream City Kids is starting a dance class for our first through fifth graders with Isabel Cutler.
Meet the teacher
Hello, my name is Isabel, and I've been dancing since I was three years old. Growing up, I trained in the Royal Academy of Dance for ballet, tap, jazz, lyrical, modern, and tumbling.
My intent was always to dance professionally, but during my teen years, God revealed this would be possible. Thankfully, He showed me another way to use my gifts: teaching. Later, in high school, I worked as an assistant teacher for my dance studio.
At age 17, I took the opportunity to teach worshipful dance at M6 Church. With 1 Peter 4:10 as my inspiration, I aimed to serve my church family with my gifts and encourage the congregation to worship God using their gifts.
I later danced at Creighton University and completed their teaching courses for ISTD (Imperial Society of Teachers of Dance) and choreography. Then, I taught at the Omaha Academy of Ballet for two years. After this, I moved to Okinawa, Japan, for three years, where I helped start a dance program for the military kids and served as the assistant director of the Okinawa School of Performing Arts.
Since attending Dream City, God has reawakened my passion for teaching worshipful dance to the church.
